This year in science we will be studying many aspects of life - from our own human body to oganisms we will view under the microscope! The Major topics we will be covering are as follows: The Exploration and Classification of Life, The Cell, Human Body Systems, Animal Diversity, and Ecology.
Please bring the following items with you to class everyday:
textbook
3-ring binder w/paper
3-hole punched "pencil pouch" to include colored pencils, pens, & pencils.
Your grade will be based on the following assessments:
Tests(30%), quizzes(20%), projects(20%), labs(20%), and homework(10%)
CLASS RULES:
"Respect for Self":
Always do your best.... Arrive to class on time and prepared.... Positively participate in all classroom activities.
"Respect for Others":
Raise you hand to speak...Listen attentively to the teacher and follow directions...respect the opinions, ideas, and comments of other students by paying attention when they are speaking....Stay on task without disturbing or distracting others.
"Respect for School":
Be in your seat when the bell rings...Classroom cupboards and drawers are not to be opened...enter and exit the room quietly...respect school property...alll school rules & regulations as presented in the handbook will be enforced...
